Internan en hospital hombre estaba calle Los Mina
POR SHIRA ABREUEl enfermo que estaba tirado en una acera de la avenida San Vicente de Paúl desde el sábado pasado fue rescatado al mediodía de ayer por el Departamento de Salud Mental de Salud Pública.
Desde ayer Julio Vásquez (Pucho) está recluido en un hospital psiquiátrico donde recibirá tratamiento médico y psiquiátrico, informó hoy por teléfono el encargado de asistencia social del área dos de Salud Pública, licenciado José Merán.
Merán indicó que la salud de Pucho era crítica, y que si no se le atendía podía morir en pocos días porque padecía de fiebre extremadamente alta.
Salud Pública conoció del caso a través de la regidora por el Partido de la Liberación dominicana Edita Sandoval Caldera, quien fue responsable de encontrar a los familiares del enfermo.
Hoy la regidora se mostró muy complacida por ver su misión realizada.
Merán agregó que lo primero que hicieron fue darle un "buen baño".
El funcionario expresó que una hermana de Pucho se comprometió a cuidarlo tan pronto su hermano esté física y mentalmente restablecido.
Detalló que Pucho recibirá un tratamiento especial y que permanecerá en un apartamento ubicado en el recinto del hospital.
"Le están dando primeros auxilios, él pasaba mucha hambre y estaba muy sucio", subrayó.
Merán precisó que esta semana el departamento que dirige recogió seis enfermos más que estaban abandonados en las calles.
"Estamos monitoreando esos casos, no podemos dejar que esa spersonas se nos mueran, necesitan un trato especial", resaltó.
Dijo que el problema de la piel de Pucho era consecuencia del clima de la noche y que con cuidados médicos puede eliminarse.
Dijo que el paciente tiene muchos traumas psicológicos y que "ahora mismo él no puede hablar. Es posible que en siete u ocho días pueda volver a la normalidad".
